Police Cadre BCL training closing parade postponed
Apprentice ASP training closing parade postponed
The graduation parade of trainee Assistant Superintendents of Police to be held has been postponed.
The final parade of the Apprentice Assistant Superintendents of Police of the 40th BCS (Police) Cadre was scheduled to be held at the Bangladesh Police Academy Sarada Academic Parade Ground in Rajshahi on Sunday (October 20) at 10 am. However, it was postponed on Saturday night due to unavoidable reasons. This is the first time that the closing parade has been postponed.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Media) Sabina Yasmin of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police confirmed this information.
Interim Government Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury was supposed to take the salute and inspect the parade.
Salahuddin Ammar, one of the coordinators of the Rajshahi University anti-discrimination student movement, rejected the invitation received by the Ministry of Home Affairs on the occasion of this parade. The coordinator said in a Facebook post that he will not participate in any official dawa until the police force is not reformed, the killing of martyrs including the allegations of making cadres of Chhatra League leaders are tried.
In the Facebook post, he mentioned, "I am rejecting the invitation intuitively because-
1) These 62 ASPs have been elected during Hasina's tenure. It is not worth telling how many hairs were analyzed and recruited in BCS (Police). Individuals from my place are therefore not in favor of participating in the said program. Whether they have been investigated!
2) Police force has not been reformed yet. The culprits have not been caught yet. Therefore, I cannot legitimize Awami fascists by disobeying the blood of martyrs.
Now the recruitment of 62 ASPs selected for police cadre through 40th BCS has become uncertain.
